APPCLOSE CANCELLATION AND REFUND POLICY

A. Cancelling Auto-Renewal of Your Subscription.

  • What Happens if You Cancel Auto-Renewal of Your Subscription.

    Cancelling the auto-renewal of your subscription does not generate any refund. Refunds are subject to our Refund Policy. If you cancel the auto-renewal of your subscription, it will continue for the remainder of your subscription term. For example, if you have a monthly subscription that renews on the 10th of every month and you cancel your subscription on the 15th of the month, your unlimited usage and access to all features will continue until the 10th of the following month. Likewise, if you cancel a one year subscription one month after you purchase the subscription, then you will still have unlimited usage and access to all features through the 11 months remaining on your one year subscription, after which your subscription will not auto-renew. We may send you notice that your subscription will not auto-renew.
  • How to Cancel Auto-Renewal if you purchased your subscription on Apple App Store or Google Play Store.

    For Apple, (a) in Settings, open your Apple Account setting, select “Subscriptions”, and then select AppClose and select “Cancel subscription”, or otherwise in accordance with the current Apple iOS functionality; or (b) from within the app, open the Subscription screen, tap Manage and the app will redirect you to the Apple subscription management page, where you can cancel the subscription.

    For Google, (a) go to Subscriptions in Google Play, select AppClose, and select “Cancel”, or otherwise in accordance with the current Google Android functionality; or (b) from within the app, open the Subscription screen, tap Manage and the app will redirect you to the Google Play subscription management page, where you can cancel the subscription.
  • How to Cancel Auto-Renewal if you purchased your subscription through our Website.
    • On a desktop/laptop visit web.appclose.com
    • Log in using the email address associated with your AppClose account
    • You will receive a verification code
    • Enter the code to complete login
    • Select the profile icon in the top right corner
    • Click “Subscription” to cancel or edit your plan


B. Refund Policy

  • Nonrefundable Subscriptions.

    Except as expressly provided in this Refund Policy, all subscriptions are final and non-refundable.
  • When Refunds Are Available

    For the first 30 days after your first-time purchase of a subscription (“30 Day Period”), you may receive a full refund of your first-time subscription payment by contacting support@appclose.com if:

    • Your co-parent did not purchase a subscription or receive a fee waiver during the 30 Day Period
    • You receive a fee waiver within the 30 Day Period
    • You purchase a duplicate subscription within the 30 Day Period, in which case you may receive a full refund of one of these subscriptions, as designated by you. If you purchase a duplicate subscription after the 30 Day Period, you may receive a full refund only for the subscription purchased after the 30 Day Period. A duplicate subscription means that you have more than one active subscription with overlapping subscription periods.
  • When Refunds Are Not Available

    Unless you are expressly eligible for a refund as described above, refunds are otherwise not available, including in the following circumstances:

    • If you cancel the auto-renewal of a subscription, for any subscription payment already made on that subscription.
    • If you fail to cancel a recurring auto-renewal payment.
    • If sales taxes were not assessed on one or more of your subscription payments, and are then assessed on one or more of your subsequent subscription payments. Sales taxes are assessed based upon meeting nexus criteria that depend on various national, state, and local laws and regulations over which we have no control. “Sales taxes” include sales taxes, VAT, and GST taxes, depending on the jurisdiction.
    • If you downgrade a subscription from a one or two year prepaid plan to a shorter term plan. If you downgrade, your subscription auto-renewal will be based on the plan to which you downgraded, but no refund will be issued for the unused portion of the subscription that was downgraded.
    • Refunds are not available for a renewed subscription, or an upgraded subscription.
  • Discretionary Exceptions to Refund Policy.

    In addition to the foregoing refund scenarios, we may in our sole discretion choose to issue a partial or complete refund to any user for any reason at any time. If we exercise that discretion to issue a partial or full refund, it does not entitle any other user to a refund, even under similar circumstances.


C. Refund Request Process

  • Refunds for Subscriptions through Apple and Google

    Subscription payments processed by the Apple App Store and Google Play Store must be cancelled through the user’s Apple App Store or Google Play Store account. Refund requests for subscriptions made as in-app purchases must be directed to Apple App Store and Google Play Store, respectively.

  • Timing and How Refund is Credited
    Generally, expect 7-14 business days for any refund to be processed and settled. Longer processing periods can occur, depending on the bank/card processor involved. In every case, the refund will be applied back to your original payment method that you used to purchase the subscription being refunded.
